Meet the Therapist

Hello! I am the owner and sole practitioner of Living Hope Counseling Center! I opened LHCC to provide quality client-centered mental health care that encourages positivity, hope, and healing. I have spent the past 6 years studying and serving as a mental health professional in the Metro Detroit area. While I do see clients with a variety of presenting concerns, my true passion lies with helping those struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma.

Bachelor of Science in General Psychology from Western Michigan University - 2014

Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oakland University - 2017

When someone comes into my office, I make every effort to cultivate a safe, calm, judgement free space. I understand the courage and strength it requires to take those first steps in seeking help and additional support. That is why I make it my first priority to establish a trusting therapeutic connection with my clients, allowing the client to feel heard, understood, and supported. In addition to fostering a secure connection with my clients, I place great emphasis on the client being the expert on themselves.

While I don't have a magic wand or cure for mental wellness, I do believe that there are a three key ingredients that can enhance the effectiveness of therapy and help improve ones state of mental health and wellness.

Hope: the belief that better days, positive change, and healing are possible.

Self-compassion: treating ourselves with the same care and kindness we would give to a good friend

Self-awareness: conscious knowledge of one's own character, feelings, motives, and desires
