GET TO KNOW THE THERAPIST
Kelly N. Psotka, MA LPC NCC
Psychotherapist and CEO
My interest of helping others started at a rather young age and was influenced by my own experiences and those of others around me. Whether it was lending friends a shoulder to cry on, being an empathetic listener, or cultivating a positive, supportive, and encouraging atmosphere - helping others has always been natural for me. It didn’t take long for me to realize that becoming a therapist was the perfect way for me to utilize my passions in a way that could truly make a difference.
In 2014, I received my Bachelors of Science in General Psychology from Western Michigan University and soon after went on to pursue my Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oakland University. Since then, I have been working in a private practice setting helping others find the hope and healing that they need and deserve.
As a psychotherapist, my goal is to provide clients with a safe, comfortable, and judge-free environment to speak openly about what they are going through. I am there to encourage, motivate, challenge, and guide the client in an atmosphere that will instill hope, healing, and positive change.
I utilize an integrative client-centered approach that focuses on individualizing treatment to meet each client's needs. My specialties focus on working with adolescents and adults experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and trauma. Typically, I work with clients with a multitude of different presenting concerns as it is typical for more than one presenting concern to be present at once.
